Another way to install a theme is to download it from a website and then copy it to the NetBeans installation directory. Select the theme you want to install and click the Install button. In the Plugins window, go to the Available Plugins tab and search for “themes.” You should see a list of available themes. To do this, go to the Tools menu and select Plugins. The easiest way is to use the NetBeans Plugin Portal. There are a few different ways to install a theme in NetBeans. A theme is a collection of graphics and colors that you can apply to the IDE to give it a unique appearance. Contrasting light versions of most core icons provided (close, slide, minimize, restore etc).If you’re using the NetBeans IDE, you can quickly change the look and feel of your interface by installing a new theme.Many harsh white borders (including the one of search box at top right corner of main window) removed.Colors in Options window match properly with LAF.After that user can switch LAF without uninstalling/disabling the plugin. Plugin will set LAF to Darcula during first restart. 'Darcula for NetBeans' is now in 'Preferred look and feel' drop down as requested (Tools > Options > Appearance > Look and Feel).It is now possible to use -fontsize switch (either in conf file or command line) to specify desired font size, default size is 12. A few remaining (such as the one in ) are hardcoded and I dont know a good way of patching those.
