12/17/2023 0 Comments Serviio 1.5.2 freshswap![]() ![]() I installed a new opensuse 13.1 server and serviio 1.5.2 (on my test pc and old serviio works my old server) but serviio 1.5.2 doesn't work correctly. It is an opensuse 12.2 server and serviio works perfectly this server. The random error is more of a momentary pause and resume, and that coupled with the apparent slowdown on the tablet while browsing the music dir tree make it seem like 1.5.2 is having difficulty keeping up.as I said there are a fairly large number of files and the database seems to be working harder than it was.Īll the 'Presentation' options in the console for instance are set Disabled except for Music-Folders, but the database keeps working on finding and parsing playlists and finding and reporting errors in them.the logs are set to DEBUG and fill up and cycle continuously.so it really does seem to be working harder than it was in 1.4.1. I have an old serviio 1.4 server (with licence) and I try to update it bacause system is old too and updte is out of date. Perhaps I shouldn't have called the playback error stuttering.I saw the post on stuttering and re-used the word, but that one was about video on windows and there is no video involved here, just mostly standard rez flac. the N-50 only does 100 but that has never been an issue. well there have been no hardware changes.Fedora went from 20>21 on the music server PC, but the same files have played correctly before.and still play properly via the sound card's direct wire from the server to the stereo.the network is wired gbit and isn't busy. Good morning zip and thanks again for your reply, Unpack the gzipped tarball and rename the folder to serviio. The installation is done as the root user. The old version would start and stay current quickly and without a lot of effort, does any one know if there are significant one-time database updates that are being made with the new rev and it just takes a long time, or is the new process just more labor intensive, or is it having trouble digesting a big audio library? Would giving the JVM more resources help? This tutorial describes how to install and configure Serviio on OpenMediaVault 4.x. May 22nd a new version 1.5.2 of serviio was pushed out to the Community. ![]() The release notes say that there were changes made to the refresh process since 1.4, and the log shows steady activity, but am not clear if what I am seeing is a normal first-time start up thing or if there is something wrong somewhere. ![]() └─6920 java -Xmx512M -Xms20M -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:GCTimeRatio=1 -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=10 -XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=20 4Stack=true =tr.Īpr 24 14:50:56 systemd: Started Start the serviio DLNA server in headless mode. I tried to downgrade to Serviio 1.4.1.2, but with no luck. rvice - Start the serviio DLNA server in headless mode Serviio 1.4.1.2 worked fine for 2 years and did not have any of these bugs.and it seems Serviio does not actually serve up files while this is going on, it's consuming a lot of CPU cycles and am starting to wonder if something is broken somewhere. I hope this post is in the correct section, otherwise feel free to move it as i am not really sure to where it should belong.Just updated Serviio from 1.4.1.2 to 1.5.2 and the database is still reading and scanning and whatever.3 hours and counting now. While the subtitles problem is more of a collateral damage, this problem is really annoying as the NAS is unable to properly read 1080p H265 movie with Serviio 1.6 and transcoding uncheck, while it was working fine with Serviio 1.5.2. I have the exact same behavior with the 1.5.2 version with trancoding on, but if i disable transcoding on the 1.5.2 the movie is working fine and i can properly select the subtitles. When i try to play an H265 movie on my Samsung UE40H6400 tv, the video seems to be transcoded even if the "enable transcoding option" is unchecked, which can be seens both by CPU (especially on the NAS) usage and the lack of subtitles (probably related to this problem : viewtopic.php?f=10&t=19198). I have decided to do some test on my windows 10 pc, and the problem seems to come from the 1.6 version and not the NAS. Serviio 1.10.1 for QNAP Intel 32bit, Intel 64bit, ARM x19, ARM x31, ARM x41+ Serviio 1.10.1 package for Synology NAS: Serviio 1.6. Judging by the size of the install file, I think thats the right version of the changeover. I have upgraded my Synology DS216play NAS to Serviio 1.6, and i have run into a problem as described here and here. I believe beginning with Serviio 1.5, it uses a self-contained Java environment and doesnt rely on any other Java on your computer. ![]()
